The Life ark is an interesting puzzle game from freeworldgroup. In this game you are trying to build an inter-dimensional ark to spread life across the world. Aliens began the work a long time ago and now you must continue their work. I have to admit, the original storyline drew me to this game more than anything else but the game ended up being pretty good as well. I was a little confused by it at first but I eventually enjoyed it a lot.
I’ve written a walk-through for some of the puzzles below, if you want to see, click the “Click me, I am a walkthrough” link to see them.
1. Click on the lightening bolt tablet to solve the puzzle. The way to determine the answer is by the order of the dots. They are moving in either one direction or other. Look at the row the question mark is in and follow the pattern of the dot.
2. Pull the handle on the cloud until it hovers over the tablet then pull the handle again to stop it. Once the cloud is hovering over the tablet, click on the tablet.
3. Wait for the cloud to finish charging(when it starts smoking, don’t wait any longer or it’ll explode), then move it over the rock. Click on the rock to zap it.
4. Click the door on the volcano and solve the puzzle. The spinning dials have both to be flames so click the button on the bottom until the dials disappear.
5. Wait for the door to open all the way before clicking on the flame.
6. Pull on the cloud chain again and bring the cloud over to the kettle, which will now be making little steaming clouds. Click on the kettle and wait for the cloud to turn dark.
7. Move the cloud over to the little puddle and then click the puddle. Rain will finally fall.
8. Now click on the cave. Then click on the tree that are by the waterfall.
Click on the apple that rolls out. The guy will come out and eat it and then grow something on his head.
9. Click on the guy and a spaceship will come. A cavegirl will also come out.
10. Click on the stream in front of the cave. A plant will grow. Click on the bottom of the plant ladder.
11. Now click on the fire below the kettle. The cavegirl throws something in.
12. Click on the UFO drawing on the hill the cavegirl just came down from.
Wait until the RED kettle is pouring golden liquid, then click on the clouds it makes.
13. An Ark comes up. There another puzzle involving dots, its pretty easy. Solve it for victory.
Office Room Escape is the latest from 123 bee and while not the greatest game and with some bugs, its not a bad play. If your just getting used to the genre, I suggest you try something else first, but if you a person who has to beat every escape game, give this a try. The lack of an inventory system does hurt this game and I’ve noticed sometimes objects just follow you around for no reason. Its weird and takes some getting used to.
I’ve written a walk-through for this game(its really short), so if you want a quick way to beat it click the “Click me, I am a walkthrough” link below. Because of the lack of an inventory, you actually have to do things in this order.
1. There are a bunch of drawers in the room, there is an iron rod in the bottom drawer, second from the right, grab it. Note that you can’t put it anywhere you it just follows you around.
2. Rods break things. In this case, monitors. Zoom in on all three monitors and break them with the rod
3. Go to the leftmost switch panel(the one that is left of the monitor) and flip all three switches
4. Now go to the rightmost switch and try to click around with the metal rod. After enough clicks near the top of the switch, you’ll see some cables.
5. Open the top drawer, second from the left to get a cutter. Then go to the switch panel with the cables and use the cutter to cut the three vertical cables. Use cutter to cut the wire ends, connect the broken wires (top wires red, blue, green; bottom wires blue, green, red).
6. Go back to the leftmost panel to turn the switches off.
7. Get a piece of paper from the trays next to the computers and go to the opened switch panel. There should be a fire. Move the paper over the fire to burn it. Put the burning paper under the access panel and wait for it to stop moving before coming back to the main room.
8. Do step #7 several times until the smoke triggers the door open and lets you out.
I know a lot of people have been asking for this one, so I’m finally going to post some video walk-throughs for the popular strategy game Warfare 1917.
British Campaign:
Skirmish:
I’ll have the German campaign up when its available.
The Dark Age is a strategy game where you must battle the forces of evil in many different zones and kill their castles. I played this game on normal and found this game mildly enjoyable, although it was kind of long and tedious. You basically buy units and send them across the screen to the other side to combat the enemy’s units and ultimately to take down the enemy’s shield and destroy their castle in each zone. There is a strategy on how you should buy the units, but for the most part, this game is pretty easy on normal. Check the strategy below if you are having trouble.
To start, you have to have the basic air unit, and the basic land units. For the first zone, buy two land units for every air unit. For the land units, try to always have one melee unit in front of each ranged unit. You should be able to easily take town the first castle this way. After this, you’ll have access to more advanced units. The general rule of the game is since you can only build one unit at a time and you generally don’t run out of money easily, always buy the highest tier melee, ranged, and air unit you can. If you have a constant supply of money, I’d just buy the ranged unit if the melee and ranged unit are on the same level because the ranged unit is generally more powerful. The only time you should buy weaker units is at the beginning of levels when you don’t have enough money to buy your best unit. Stronger units are always the better bang for the buck. For castles 2-4, you can use the strategy of 1 land unit and one air unit in a constant stream to take the enemies down. From castle five onward, you’ll want to concentrate more on air. I use the ratio of 2 air units for every ground unit and it carried me through the game. Unlike epic wars or deeper games of this type, the build time on units is the same and there’s no research to get better units, they just come as you advance in levels. So if you just alternate between the strongest land and strongest air unit available through the entire game(except at the beginning of levels where you have no money to buy these units and have to buy weaker ones), you should be able to beat the game on normal. Happy battles!
Imperium is an epic strategy game that is filled with tactics, strategy, and a whole ton of resource management and confusion all wrapped in one package. While probably not the best for a casual gamer that doesn’t play strategy often, it is great for a strategy junky. This game has 24 different kinds of resources which all need to be used to produce units or provide supplies(food, iron, etc), and gold for wages. You must balance them all in order to build your empire and conquer the island. I’ve played this game on medium and have written a strategy.
This game is very complex so I would recommend you start off on easy to get the hang of micro-management of resources, moving resources, and attacking. I suggest you start playing on speed 2 as speed 1 is too slow and anything faster is tough to manage. First off is that you will have to move your resources a lot. No one city can produce all the different kinds of resources. In the city that I start with I could only produce spear soldiers and arrow soldiers. You have to be fast also as the rival empire is also expanding and conquering lands. You need to try to be faster than them. Start off the game by building a house and then a farm. That will give you population and food. Be careful and watch your resource intake/outgo as that is very important. If you run out of a certain resource in your starting city, your kind of screwed. You must build as you go along. Also upgrading buildings is better than buiding new ones as it is more space efficient. If you are running low on a certain resource, build the structure that produces that resource. Do not run out of food, iron, money, or logs in this game on your first city. When you have about 500 troops or so, split them up into 250 arrow and 250 spear and go attack the area below you. You should be able to conquer it with that many troops and start building on that city immediately with a house and a shrimp farm. Note that you cannot produce a barracks in this city(at least in my game), so you will have to import troops over from your first city. Don’t ever leave a city empty as barbarians will come and attack. Before you import, build and upgrade plenty of extra houses in your 2nd city as the soldiers will need lots of space to love. In this second city, you should be able to access horses and elephants(or other resources since your game may be different). Build horse and elephant stables. You can import bows and spears from your first city. Get a group of 250 archers, 250 spear-men, 80 elephants, and 100 horses, and go attack another province. You should be able to take it out. Remember in battles, the more battalions you have, the better as it will force the enemy to spread fire out more allowing troops to live longer. Then repeat the building process until there are no un-occupied spaces left. Make sure to never leave a city empty on troops or it will get taken over by the enemy or barbarians. When you have to fight the other empire, use a province as a super-house province and import all your stuff there and attack with one huge strike. On easy, it shouldn’t be too hard to beat the AI, but on medium, it might take a few tries. If you’ve expanded and built right, you should eventually be able to whittle your enemy down and defeat him. Happy conquests. Feel free to post and comment on your strategies here.
Art Class Escape is an escape game from 123bee where you are stuck in a painting classroom and must solve numerous puzzles in order to get out. Some of the puzzles are really tricky and require quite a bit of tinkering to get. This game takes quite a while to beat(well, to get to the point where the game crashes) because of them. If your brain is bending too hard or you just don’t want to spend the time top figure out the numerous puzzles, click on the “Click me, I am a walkthrough” link below. Otherwise, enjoy escaping!
1. Zoom in on the dustbin twice and get the pencil that is in there. Look to the 2nd chair from the right. There is a small exacto knife taped onto the bottom of it, grab that as well.
2. Take a look at the leftmost chair in the front row. Notice the front left leg has a black dot next to it. It is a screw, grab it. Go to the teacher’s desk and take the bottle of water there. Now go back to the seat with the screw you just got. There is a drawer in that seat-desk. Open it and grab the star inside.
3. Go look at the lockers. Open Harry’s and grab the triangle in there. The only other locker that will open is Tom’s. Grab the drawing in there.
4. Since this is an art game, look at the drawings around the room. One of them(with the name Mary on it) has three shapes. Remember the colors.
5. Jerry’s drawing is the code to Jerry’s locker. There are seven stars, so the code is 0007 for his locker. Go and grab pastels from his locker.
6. Agnes’s code is for Agnes’s locker number(0330). If you look at the time pattern, there an hour and a half between each clock. The last clock therefore has to be 3:30.
7. Donald’s drawing of the guy with the magic wand is usable. Use the smallest brush from Agnes’s locker and trade with the hand wand.
8. Go to the room right of the one you were in. Open the cabinet and get the paint. Click to zoom in on the fruit, then click to move the fruit and grab the palette from under the fruit. There is a hammer on the back table, grab it. There is also a bin with some scrolls in the room. Click on them until you pick one of them up.
9. Now, like in the last room, look around at the art. The polka dot picture forms symbols, remember the symbols and the colors.
10. Sam’s space picture is missing Neptune, the 8th planet, making his combination 0008. Go to his locker and grab the Binoculars and the key there. Use the key in the 2nd desk from the left and grab the two paint tubes there.
11. There is a picture of numbered dots in the room, use the Binoculars on them to obtain john’s locker code of 4718 and grab the palette there. There is a statues with only the upper section in that room, use the hammer on his hand. Click on the broken pieces until you pick up a finger. Use the exacto knife on the corner of his picture to obtain the third shape.
12. Above the three art pieces are three stained glass windows. Use the hammer on the middle one. Use the Binoculars to see the parrots after you break it and note the colors of the parrot.
13. Click the palette, then click it with each of the tubes of paint, and click the water. Click the palette in inventory again. Mix the paints with the middle brush. Click the yellow, then the middle of the palette, then click the water (the light grey that’s one well counter-clockwise from the yellow), then click the middle, then click the red, then the middle twice. Proceed similarly until you have orange, green, and purple. The palette will again go back to inventory if you’ve done it right.
14. Click the scroll from the bin. Put the three pieces of paper on it. Use the pastels to color the shapes according to Mary’s artwork . Click the finished picture.
15. In the other room, use the screw on the middle of the lower horizontal piece on the easel. Move the piece up then click the front canvas leaning against the wall, and it’ll go on the easel. Put the parrot drawing on the canvas.
16. Use the middle brush and the palette you prepared (it has yellow, blue, red, dark red/purple, orange, and green). Paint the beak, the little part below the eye, and the top wingtip yellow. The other wingtip is orange, and the parts of the wings just above the tips are green. The head is red, and the middle part of the body and the tail are purple. If you did it right, the parrot goes in your inventory.
17. First, use the pencil to connect the dots into number shapes. Correct lines will stay put; incorrect ones or ones where you didn’t get close enough to one of the endpoints will go away. (Don’t worry about squigglies; it’ll straighten them out.) Next, paint the shapes according to the Polka Dots painting, using the other palette (from John’s locker) and the biggest brush: the 7 and the X are red, 5 is blue, 6 is green, and 2 is yellow. Finally, use the magic wand (the one you exchanged for the smallest brush) on the mouse. If you did it right, the mouse runs through the path you created, then the painting goes in your inventory.
18. The mouse painting and/or Polka Dots gives the code for the right-hand door of the cabinet: you have 7, 6, 5, 2, and an ‘x’. Multiply the four numbers to get the code: 0420. Open the cabinet and get the sculpture’s other finger.
The game is pretty complicated in the later steps, just watch this video on second thought:
Thanks for freegamesnews for steps 15-18, that was driving me nuts.
10 Gnomes 9: Chemistry is a fun little search and seek game where you have to 10 gnomes in front of a chemistry building. It is the 9th in the installment of 10 gnomes games. I’ve actually found the gnomes on this map and have written small text instructions plus pictures of where they are. If you wish to know how to beat the game, click on the “Click me, I am a walkthrough” link below to see. Otherwise, happy searching!
1st gnome: The First gnome is in the satellite dish by the Trash bin
2nd gnome: The second gnome is behind the potted plant on the steps of the building
3rd gnome: The third gnome is in the potted plant under one of the windows
4th gnome: The 4th gnome is under one of the benches
5th gnome: The 5th gnome is somewhere in the wheelbarrow
6th gnome: The sixth gnome is above the bushes next to the waste basket behind the electrical outlet
7th gnome: The 7th Gnome is in the door behind the bird bath. Click on the bench next to bird bath first, then the door, and then the handle.
8th gnome: The 8th gnome is on one of the windows. You have to zoom in 3 times to see him.
9th gnome: The 9th gnome is in the underground window, in the muddy leaves
10th Gnome: On the scene left of where you start(it might be two over), click on the right door and then zoom in on the thing beneath it, there is a gnome somewhere there.
The troll took a while but it is in the scene with the windows, in the bushes. Its actually in the pipe drain.
This is a video walkthrough for 10 Gnomes 8: Water Forge . I know this comes a little late as 10 gnomes 9 was just released a while ago but I need to complete the walkthrough collection here for the 10 gnomes series. If you want to know where the gnomes are, watch the video below:
This is a video walkthrough for the game Ghost Castle . Ghost castle is a game where you are a little girl called Emily who ends up being trapped in a haunted castle and has to solve a myriad of puzzles in order to get her way out of the castle. The puzzles in the game range from easy to very difficult and should be a mind-twister for anyone who tries. If you want to enjoy this game, it is a great afternoon play, but if you just want to know how to beat the levels. Looks at the video below.
Garden Inventor is a tower defense games that is themed around gardens. You have to build different kinds of flowers or lawn gnomes to defend against insects. Unlike most TD’s, it isn’t a single level play-through and you have to play many different zones in order to beat the game. Each zone poses its own challenges with a boss at the end. There are a lot of combinations you can do and this game requires lots of selling and re-buying to achieve your goals but it is a very fun and interesting game to play. I’ve written a walkthrough for some of the zones. Click on the “click here, I am a walkthrough” link to view.
This Zone is very easy. Just buy the cactus plants. Buy 2 of by and put them at turn spots and upgrade them equally as soon as you get the money. On the last boss you will need to do some selling and re-buying. Wait until the boss passes the first two turn spots and let your towers shoot until he passes. The immediately sell those towers and buy two more cactus towers at the last two turn spots. You get full price for selling so upgrade the two towers you just bought to the same level and that is enough to kill the boss.
Stage 2:
Like zone one, selling and re-buying costs nothing so don’t be shy about it. Its the only way to win. All you need are cactus plants again. Basically this zone involves buying upgrading, selling, and moving your cactus plants around. Do not be afraid to upgrade and then sell, only to buy another cactus plants and upgrading to the same level. You have to time this zone correctly as some of the creeps don’t wait for the last wave to die off before spawning. But you should at least be able to move one of your cactus to two locations on each wave. That, combined with the max possible upgrades, should be enough to win the level.
On the boss, sell everything and upgrade one cactus to the max you can, that should be enough to kill him. If he passes it, don’t worry. Just sell it and put it at a later location along the path. He is easily killable.
Stage 3:
Much the same as zone two, although to start, you will want to put your flowers at the beginning of the path and if the creeps get past, sell and then put it later on in the path. Upgrade to the max you can each time. It only takes buying/selling two cactus plants to actually beat the level.
Stage 4:
This level was like level 3 where I started with two cactus plants near the start but that allowed me to kill the waves fast and push “next wave” and get me some extra cash. With this extra cash, it allowed me to buy upgrades very quickly and I was able to kill everything near the start for nearly the entire round. Towards the end I had to sell some towers and buy them further down the map. For the boss I just used 1 tower upgraded to max and a upgraded water sprinkler to slow bugs down. It was easy to beat the 4th level and clear the first house.
Be back with more once I play the other houses, have fun. This game is a lot more micro that other TD’s.
