The focus of this article is on the fun new mouse avoider game Mirrored Maze 2. Its a mouse avoider with a twist, namely that you control two mouse pointers, one at the top half of the screen and one at the bottom. The mouse pointer at the bottom half of your screen follows your mouse, while the one at the top half goes in the opposite direction. You cannot touch any of the walls or the game is over. This makes for an interesting game and an especially interesting start.

The natural reaction of someone after hitting the “start” button on a game is to move the mouse pointer away from that position into the center of the screen or off the screen. You cannot do this in this game. You have to keep the mouse right where it is because if you move it, you will run into a wall. You must carefully watch both the top and bottom screens at all times as you must avoid all contact with everything at all times on both. This made the game fun and also extremely challenging for me. As a person who is bad at thinking about a task and thinking about it in reverse at the same time, it was tough to coordinate the top and bottom parts of this game and it took a while to get the hang of it. However, there are many check points and secrets in this game that you can unlock and you can cheat in this game if you have to, so if you get frustrated, you can always “cheat” to beat it.

I advise you to slowly work your way through the levels though as it is a very good test of hand and eye coordination. And besides, what fun is a game that has no challenge?

Overall, this game is a great game for casual play if you don’t mind a little frustration and squinting your eyes a little.

bonus 2 - unlock checkpoint 1
bonus 3 - unlock checkpoint 2
level editor type 2 - unlock bonus 2

1. right click and press ‘forward’
2. right click and then click finish
3. press tab then enter
