Mushroom Farm defense is a fun little tower defense game where you build mushroom towers to defend against invading farm creeps. This game also has element gems which give your mushroom tower powers and are key to winning the game. Below is a strategy guide for medium difficulty, but because of the game-play mechanics, it would probably work on hard as well with a few changes. |
The game has 3 elements and 4 kinds of towers. The towers are pretty self explanatory as each successive tower is more powerful than the one before it. The elements are thunder, water, and fire and on the 2nd and 3rd level towers, you can combine elements to save special effects like freeze or poison. One combination will be key to this strategy to beating the game. The map for this game is big. I’m writing with walkthrough for map A. On map A, there is a section of the map where the grass separating the paths is very narrow, one tower can hit both sides of the grass. At the beginning of the game, you’ll want to build tower basic towers there. These towers should last you through 2-3 waves. As soon as you get another $100, build another basic tower on the same stretch of grass. Then you should be able to hold out until you can upgrade one of your basic towers(upgrading the one in the middle is usually the best idea). Then try to save up for the next higher mushroom tower(the dark green one). If you see creeps getting past, upgrade another one of your basic towers. You will probably have to sell a basic tower to get enough money to buy a dark green tower. You can buy a few element crystals at this point, but I didn’t need to equip crystals until I bought the 3rd orange Mushroom tower. Buy two of the dark green towers and upgrade one to max(as you get money), then after that upgrade two others to level 2. After that, wait for $1,600 to buy an orange tower. This is the best tower you will need, there is no need to buy any $4000 towers as you can’t equip crystal combinations with those towers. Buy one of each element crystal and equip the orange tower with one of each. This will give the “instant death” effect which kills everything. Then wait to get enough money to upgrade that orange tower to level 3, selling a tower when necessary. At level 3, the instant death percentage will be at 6%. The damage from the tower should be enough to hold you off for a while until you can buy another orange tower and equip it with the same combination of crystals. Upgrade this tower to level 3 also. After this, you just keep buying level 3 towers, upgrading them, and equipping them for the instant death effect. The damage they do will be enough to hold off all creeps until you have 4 or 5 of them, after which, the instant death effects just kills anything that comes along. The screen-shot you see if one of me late in the game. I bought a $4000 tower for fun, but it wasn’t really necessary. I also started digging up some trees after my third instant-death tower because they were in good tower placement spots. At the end I had 8 or so Level-3 instant death towers and nothing ever got close to getting past that line. This strategy should work on hard but you’ll have to time upgrades and buying more carefully.

Hey there. I am glad you put this blog up, i do the same thing and found some of it helpful at first, i just wanted to run an idea by you… at the very beginning of the game, I immediately click on next wave, which takes the money i have to $260. Then I buy my first tower and place it, which leaves me $60, and as soon as the new wave icon comes up i click on it immediately, which takes me to $200 so I can upgrade the first tower immediately. That takes me to level 2, which means i can kill the first wave with a single shot and the second with two shots, it also means that i can attack at 32, costing the same as three towers, but also giving me an extra 2 attack points… anyway just an idea you may like to try out some time.

I have no idea what the point of the elements are. I just won without using them. Although it might have been a little more fun if I could have figured out how to get them.
