desktop tower defense Whiteboard Tower Defense is another DTD-like game that lets you build a maze with towers that creeps must go around and not survive before they get to the end. The graphics of this game are also DTD-ish, but the mechanics of this game are different. The towers have different powers and ranges and also have different effects which makes this game stand out on its own. However, the game just didn’t appeal to me as much as DTD did but is still worth a good few hours play. Below I have a walk-through for this game on medium difficulty with images of my layout every 10 waves.

Wave 10:

For waves 1-10, I just started building my Maze with basic towers and as you can see, one AOE range tower:

Wave 20:
For waves 11-20, I basically continued the maze except I upgraded my AOE tower, built a stick-man tower, and built a static floor tile. A good strategy throughout the game is to build more towers that you can afford instead of saving up for the bigger towers(at least on medium), then wait for the boss levels before you purchase the really big upgrades. Otherwise too many creeps will slip past while your waiting for upgrade money.

Wave 30:
At wave 30, I had just about upgraded the stickman tower, the AOE tower and the static floor tile to max and was waiting for money for the boss tower. Waiting for money is generally not a good idea in this game on normal.

Wave 40:
At wave forty, I had already built two boss towers and upgraded 1 of them twice. I also bought 1 electricity tower and upgraded it to the 2nd to last upgrade.

Wave 50:
At wave 50 I had 6 boss towers with two of them upgraded to full and the rest upgraded to next to full. I used the boss that gave 500,000 or so to upgrade my first boss tower to full and then used some money from the following two waves to upgrade the other one. 50 was the last wave and I beat it.

This strategy of laying out an extravagant maze probably won’t work on hard as it was cutting it close at times just on medium. On hard, you’d probably have to group all your towers closer together with the boss towers near the center and above the static floor tile. Use some serious slowing effects of floor tiles to slow the creeps and AOE lightening to help with the earlier levels(pre level 40).

Good luck and happy defending!

Box Escape Walkthrough admin 19, September
box escape Box Escape is a short escape game from gamershood. No, you are not stuck in a box. You are stuck in some weird room and you must find the tools and get out. The 100-meter butterfly from the 2008 Olympics is on TV so if you get stuck, you can watch Phelps win gold again, if your interested. This game is quick and short and decent for a one-sitting game. The walk-through is below if you are stuck at some place.

1. Click on the third from the wall sofa cushion and find that there is a screw-driver in there.

2. Go to the room right from the sofa room and click on the window. Note the letters on the bars, they are a clue to the puzzle. There is also a “TV” etched on the bottom.

3. Since the window bottom said TV, check the TV. At first you will see some rabbits(from the crazy rabbits video game). Turn the channel and you’ll see Michael Phelps win in the 100 meter butterfly. Note the guys that finish second and third, their last names have to do with the games.

4. The letters on the bars correspond with the last names of Phelps and the 2nd and third place winners(Cavic and that other guy).

5. There were also # and an ABC on the bars. Think for a moment. Ok — the numbers mean what position C,P, and L are in the Alphabet. C is 3, P is 16, and L is 12 in case you were too lazy to count.

6. Go to the room with the bed(one room right of the room with the window) and click the box under it. Put the number code in that box and grab the propeller that comes out.

7. Click on the side of the pillow farthest from the wall and take the green key that is under the pillow. Use the green key to open the top drawer in the same room and take the magnet that is in there.

8. If you look closely at the lamp in the room, you’ll see a small orange thread hanging from it, grab that too.

9. Go once more to the right. There us a doormat that is screwed to the floor. Since you have a screwdriver, use it to unscrew the doormat and take it. You’ll see an air vent with a green pipe in it. Combine the thread with the magnet and collect the green pipe.

10. Go back to the room with the bed. You’ll notice a grey box in the room. Enlarge the box and notice a circle-screw type thing in the lower left hand corner. Use the screwdriver to remove the screw and then use the green pipe and put it into the whole. Then put the green propeller on the pipe and turn.

11. Click on the opened box to find a key.

12. Go back to the first room with the door. Use the key on the board to get out.
