Bugwave is a fun make-your-own-path tower defense game where you have towers from five different elements and you must build, upgrade, and use strategic placements to kill all the bugs that creep up. unfortunately, this game does not come with a much-needed manual to say which kind of bugs are strong/weak against which types of attacks or what effects to the attacks actually have. I wasn’t able to determine the strength/weakness thing during the game or even determine if there was such a system and I’m still a bit unsure about some of the towers. |
I played on normal and got to around wave 50 after a few tries using the old DTD hard setup, which I think would work fine if I had just made some adjustments. I’m posting the setup below up to wave 50 so you can take a look. Feel free to comment and post your own strategies.

Level 10: Basic great wall maze with a volcano in the middle here. On hindsight since the volcano was mainly boss damage, I should have just went with a water bazooka and not upgraded the great wall.

Level 20: Ice needles, water bazooka, volcano, and upgraded great wall. Should have not upgraded the wall and sold it to get an earthquake or lightening tower, they are far more useful. Upgrading the freeze tower is also important.

Level 50: I like forgot to print screen at 30 and 40 so here I am at 50. This is the original DTD setup I used to beat hard but I screwed up. Should have ditched the great wall upgrade like said before and focused more on just upgrading the first row of towers instead of build the second, the boost towers are pretty good but could have waited as well. I’m playing this game again to see if I can do better.

Update: Holy crap! I beat the game on Normal(Version 1.04). I did the impossible. Here’s a picture of my finished build!

Update: Beat 1.5 on Hard:
