Joe you mean the one where the bombers need to be protected? If so, then I agree with you.

I tried the following things after simple dog fighting didn’t work:

1. Fighting the air borne targets after having bombed the ground targets (I found the level lasted longer this way)

2. Playing with the enemys’ mind by doing loops and flying low, It’s not possible to use the cloud cover because there are none!

Pain in the neck! ANy tips guys?

19′s one of my fave levels! Try and take out at least 2 of the fighters from the first wave by swooping down all guns blazing from above your bombers. Position yourself about half way down the screen and to the right as the second wave approaches and lob bombs – the same way you did on the level where your guns jam.
Sometimes it helps to fly up 90 degrees and some fighters will follow you – that’s a good time to do another skill drop and take some of them out.
Don’t get too hung up about all your bombers surviving – you only need 1 of them to make it through.
Completely ignore the ground targets.

I just re-read what I wrote. Sorry it’s so confusing. Seems that both “fish” and I have a similar strategy for level 19. I just tried it again and it works like a charm.

Here it is simplified:

Just fly straight and ignore the ground targets. Just before you reach each of the two enemy fighter waves, rapidly drop 4-5 bombs. (Just adjust your height to make sure you’re slightly higher than the oncoming fighter group – dropping your bombs ahead of them for them to fly into.) This will eliminate about half of the enemy airforce in the first 30 seconds of fighting! Loop back to finish off the rest. Focus on the aces and use remaining bombs to “skill drop” onto tailing planes as you do straight up climbs.

Once you master this, level 19 becomes really easy.

Joe, maybe you were referring to level 25 the final level. It’s similar to level 17 “Death From Above” where you have to defend your base from an onslaught of bombers. The main difference is level 25 has more bombers and more fighters and aces protecting them. I completed the level by immediately looping back to face the bombers head on. I used two bombs on each bomber as I passed overhead. Then I took on the aces using loops to confuse them, raw gunfire and “skill drops” with my remaining bombs. Not too difficult for a final level. Kind of anti-climatic, really. Enjoy.

I just finished the game! Woot! the hardest level I played was level 19 with defending the bombers, but as long as you can take out all three aces(one in wave one and two in wave two) you should be alright.
In regards to the taking out the bombers level, just fly low and activate your low flying ability to keep the aces of your back, then go under the bombers. Once you reach the front loop back and drop two bombs on each bomber, take out the rest of the planes and you are set.

it’s funny playing the first few levels again. I feel like an ace.

I always got killed on Level 19. Finally, with lots of practice and booze and luck, I managed it.

One thing I noticed: The ace fighter in the first wave approaches slightly below the height of the first bomber. So if you position yourself below the bomber and hammer away, you just might shoot down the ace even before you see it.

What a great game! Are there other games that are as much fun?

Thanks for the great tips!!! I thought getting past Level 19 was impossible! Now, I’m stuck on Level 21!

On level 19 I start firing immediately then get down the front of my planes as quickly as possible. As mentioned, with the first wave of enemies I pull up as they approach a drop a few bombs. A couple of times when i have destroyed the first wave immediately, the level ended and I went straight to level 20. Only when a few enemies get through do you get the second wave. I agree that if you don’t get this first wave early knock out the ground fire because it does massive damage to the planes you are protecting.

I finally beat it today! level 19 is hard, but you just have to hit the first wave of attackers with bombs and thatll take most of em out, use any leftover bombs on the second wave

On level 21, you don’t have to fly underneath the bombers. If you are getting skillful, then start off by NOT SHOOTING (this alerts the fighters to your presence and they attack immediately as your gun jams up). Just fly over the top of the bombers, dropping two bombs each on the three top bombers (which take out the bottom two bombers with them when they crash). By now the fighters are after you so go straight into a dive and pull up at the last minute. You are now invisible to the fighters so fly directly over them and bomb them.

for lvl 19, the bomber taker care of the ground and the fighters
use bombs to take out the aces QUICKLY, and then as many bombs as you can afford to wipe out the fights

Just beat level 19, after around 20 attempts

Bret; On level 7, first aim to the top where the ace pilot is coming take him out first. You have a lot of bombs, use CTRL to drop bombs, this is how you destroy the buildings. Also to easyly destroy regular planes, get in front and a little on top of the plane, when it makes a move toward you, drop 1 bomb which will go right on to the following plane, this way you get more points and kill faster.

on level 19, rush under your third bomber this is where the first wave will pass, idrop the bombs to kill the ace then take about 6-8 seconds to do as much damage to remaining planes. Then rush infront of the leader bomber and drop bombs on the second wave, this how I do it. You can rescue all the bombers.

Level 21(Gun Jam): continue along the top near the scoreboard if you dont shoot, the aces will stay where they are at all times, when you get on top and a little in front of the ace drop two bombs to destroy it. the one on the bottom will rush to you, then turn back and drop bombs on that. last step, keep along the scoreboard on top and drop bombs on the bombers.

Tip: When shoting the bombers, first make black smoke come out of each. Then go back one by one, start shoting from the bottom aiming up, then make a dive to follow the falling bomber and always keep the gun on the bomber as much as possible. If you do it right you can get, 5000-13000 points from each kill. if your multiplier is very high, then you can get atleast 30000points from each bomber or more.

Tip: level18(break the line): dive in the first cloud from half way to activate power, then continue strait, immediately dive to activate your second power, continue along very low level to activate the third power. if you do this 3 things back to back you can make it without having to try to shoot any planes. If they are close and you are being damaged or you want more points, turn back and drop all your bombs, this will kill most of the planes bcause they are at the bottom trying to keep up with you.

I get through level 19 with all bombers left many times. Here’s how I do it. Forget the ground forces. Come in flying through the middle of the Bombers and strafe the first wave always trying to hit the aces. Do not stop. If one gets on your tail kill it. most times one won’t. Drop down a bit and strafe the the next wave aiming at Aces. Double back and shoot the aces down first only breaking away if another is on your tail. Works for me 80% of the time.

thats a thing I had in the back of my mind…to try to KEEP getting points even when 1st levels got easy or the one where you have to make it to the other side of the screen…its not just making it that counts- points also….I WAS wondering how guys got 35 million and I was gettin 78 thousand…pulverize the bastards eh?
