Oiligarchy 2 walkthrough/review/tips

oiligarchy 2 Oiligarchy 2 is cool oil tycoon game that is set right after WWII. The west is full of oil and you are the CEO of a company whose job is to dig it up, make profits, and expand your empire. If you perform poorly, the investors will fire you. The first thing you do in this game is use the exploration tool to explore the ground and find oil deposits. Concentrate on just a few areas at first because you need some money to build small and normal oil rigs.

I usually explore a few places first and then build 1 normal rig and a few small rigs to start. Its pretty obvious where the big oil deposits are and where the small ones are so build rigs accordingly. You will have to try to keep up with consumer demand and the changing political environment. Be sure to donate to political campaigns on both sides and pay attention to which party is ahead so you donate to the winner more. This is a very important part of the game. You want to contribute a lot in hopes of getting an “oiled president” to give you access to “basement meetings”. This will give you undue influence on policy making. Also watch out for green movements and general cries for clean energy. This is quite like running a real business and for those of you want-to-be businessmen, it may be a perfect game.

I don’t know how to give money to the other major political party, it’s automatically the GOP everytime.

I really like this game. I love when you get all the areas that are able to be drilled in. I liked deploying platforms. How do you get the oil under the Iraq palace?

  4.   Mike Madman Says:

If you throw a lot of money at either party, the government is well oiled.

I got to year 2210. I had 300 a barrel and 53 million overall. Mike amdman is right. If you through a lot money at any party you will get an oiled government. I continued Iraq for 100 years, even through democratic administrations. The best way to win is to get to the part with human burners and then you can do great. otherwise you have a problem.

This game has two possible endings

    one: you blew up earth
two: you helped earth ad everybody lives a sober life

if you get the last one, you won, if you got the first one, you lost

  12.   Dude Says:

I would’ve thought it was the other way around. GO NUKES!

    what are human burners

  14.   Matt Says:

There are 3 possible endings. If you get the GDP to -12 or so you’ll see the ending “farewell to the west”.

Me & my friend played this together for the first time. When I (somehow) unlocked Human Burners, I placed them every where there was room. But, claiming it was ‘unethical’, my friend unlocked but didnt build any Human Burners. He got the ‘You retire and the whole world is happy blah blah blah’… ending and I got the ‘You destroyed the world with your oil and corruption’ ending. So, are Human Burners bad for you as a CEO of an Oil company? And also, how do you unlock them? I only unlocked them once, by accident.
