This strategy and series of video walkthroughs is for the awesome new strategy game Epic War 2. In this game, you take up the flag of the humans, orcs, or elves and have to defeat the minions of the Lord of Hell and have to come face to face with him yourself before you can free the land from shadows. Besides the units you can tech up and get there are special units you must unlock. Here is how to unlock them:
Hobbit: Read credits and instructions
Dwarf: Load game three times
Bomberman: die 3 times
Dragon: Beat level 17(The End)
Devil: Beat level 18
Angel Knight(not the human archangel): Max all three tech trees.
One thing, I found that the game is only beatable using the elves because if your elf, the Lord of Hell does not seem to do his ground pound attack which damages everything as long as you don’t build any ground melee units. Videos below show how to beat all three bosses:
So for the few of you who read my blog on a consistent basis, you will have noticed that I haven’t been writing much the last few days. Well, its the holidays and I’m celebrating like everyone else. But don’t worry, normal writing schedule will be back in early-mid January. Meanwhile,I will be writing every once in a while like I’m doing now. Today’s review/walkthrough comes from a reader’s request for the tower defense game Viking Defense from Miniclip. This is an extremely challenging TD game with lots of upgrades, towers, and structures. Enemies come in three types — either floating, underwater, or flying and certain towers only shoot and certain types of enemies.
The picture above is my build just before I beat the second map. Platforms, and the Thor Hammer where quite clutch in my victory. I do not think this build is the best type of build though. Ideally Catapult should always go in the very middle to cover maximum area and they should be upgraded with the rune that lets a bullet target a different enemy is the one it is currently targeting is killed. The basic towers and the air towers should be grouped together according to their type. Concentrated fire is much better than spread apart fire. Either upgrade these with the shorter reload rune or the extra damage rune. Also in each group of towers, there should be 2-3 ice runes and 1-2 fire runes to slow enemies down. Many towers and buildings have to be unlocked and you should unlock them as soon as you can because they give you access to runes and abilities. The “Thor hammer” ability is very crucial to success. Armed with Wings 2 is a cool fighting game where you must fight your way out from the rebel king’s guards and go find the sacred blades of Eden — your only hope of reclaiming your throne. Its an action-packed game all the way to the end and leaves you wondering what will happen in the next chapter. I’ve always thought the game’s style of animation was somewhat weird but it flows nicely(sort of like ink) and makes for an enjoyable gaming experience.
Its style is not like that of a traditional fighting game so it might take a while to get used to. For those of you who are having trouble with the game, I’ve posted a walkthrough below.
Carver is a unique game in which you must carve the falling blocks to match one of the three patterns on the right. Your score is calculated by your completion of the task and by which shape you carved. The first few levels are pushover levels which just about anyone can do. If your going for a high score, I suggest you bank on the first couple of levels. When the levels get harder, you’ll just want to worry about going on to the next level instead of carving the hardest shape. This game takes a bit of twisting and turning but its a lot of fun.
Black Knight Insurrection is a fun puzzle game where you are a knight and you must collect the star following a series of paths and moves. Your movement is regulated to a knight’s movement in chess across the board and using this movement, you must get yourself to the star. There are a series of portals and other special tiles to complicate matters and make this game a very challenging play for an afternoon.
Games like this are also frustrating but rewarding when you finally come up with an answer. If your having trouble, check out the video walkthrough below for the first seven levels.
Sonic RPG 4 starts with our heros having to fight a pair of ancient beasts. Just use the regular attack(and knuckles’s thunder punch if you want) to attack and you’ll kill the smaller beast. The big beast will vanish into a hole and you’ll follow him. The fight continues in the hole but just when they are about to get pwned, Shadow comes to save them. Shadow attacks the ancient beast but does not kill him. The beast charges up and a “kill him” option appears. You must hit the “kill him” button or you die.
The Savior is a fun RPG battle game where you are battling a giant boss and have to kill him twice(once in normal form and once in final form if you are playing on normal or master) to win. This game is pretty hard as you have to upgrade all your skills adequately to have a chance of winning. The main trick to this game is dodging the enemy attacks and learning their pattern. For the normal form of the boss, its not that hard, but its really hard for the final form as the arc of his attacks is much wider and he attacks much faster.
Basically you have to pay attention to which hand the boss has his sword in and the motion he does before he does the attack. When he is doing his wide arc attack, it is actually better and easier to run into him then to run the opposite way. When he jumps and does his stepdown attack, you also want to be running in the right way. Later when he gets wave and energy attacks, you will need to be on the right side to not take damage. There is no way to heal damage in this game so you have to take as little as possible. For the little minions the boss spawns, its better to take 2 slashes at them and the run away a bit and take another two slashes to avoid them hitting you. For stats, I think you should put most everything into Strength and Dexterity to max your damage while just learning the patterns of the enemy’s movement to avoid attacks altogether.
Don’t forget to hit the thieves and collect jewels as upgrading your sword is very important to success. My main complaint is that the last two kinds of Jewels just do not drop often enough, making that second upgrade next to impossible to get. The Limit break ability is pretty cool, but I would not depend much upon it as basic slashing will do most of your damage.
Do not get trapped on one side but run from side to side on the stage while playing. If you learn the enemy’s attacks well enough, you can be sure to win. To be safe, I’d use the first monster as a level-up monsters. Don’t hit him, just avoid his attacks and hit the mouse thief and the little fire things. Concentrate hard on the mouse and get the required jewels to upgrade to the best sword. You should be about level 8 with the best sword when you face the boss’s final form.
In Sonic RPG 3, Sonic and Nights meet Reala and Nights ends up fighting him in the first battle. Sonic flies into the castle to find Shadow and meets Seekladoom. Shadow also returns and Sonic and Shadow fight Seekladoom in the tower. Just attack Seekladoom, he will steal your MP and do his super attack which pwns you but leaves him weakened.
Nights uses the power of the emerald to revive Sonic and Shadow. However, they don’t kill Seekladoom for some odd reason(didn’t make sense to me). They say they need a plan.
Nights meanwhile, engages in battle with Reala. Just use your star rain on him until he attacks you twice and then use your overdrive to win. Reala is saved by Seekladoom chasing Sonic, Shadow, and Reala. Seekladoom doesn’t kill Reala because he might have some future use for him.
Sonic and friends wind up in a cave and there engage in battle with ancient beasts. The story continues in the next chapter.
Alias 3 is a cool action/shooter game where you are an Artificial lifeform that was created for destruction and sabotage and your very good at it. This is probably the best game of the series so far and features a variety of challenges, levels, and boss fights. Smooth, action-packed gameplay and a well-adjusted difficulty level make this game a enjoyable experience for most of the gaming crowd.
