Sonic RPG 2 is a fun game where sonic and his friends fall into another dimension, one with a “light side” and a “dark side”. Unfortunately, Seelkadoom is here too and has teamed up with the evil emperor to cause havoc. Sonic meats the emperor of the light side, Night, and together they go to find the holy Sapphire to face Reala and Seelkadoom. They have a brief fight with the guardian and win(you play this fight). For this fight it doesn’t matter how you fight, you get the Sapphire, but unfortunately, the evil dude comes and steals it before you can take it.
They chase Reala and he drops the Sapphire. Sonic goes after Reala. Sonic loses to Reala(it doesn’t matter what you do) but Night has reclaimed the Sapphire.They meet Knuckles, but he doesn’t come with them since he’s just interested in a way back home. Now, with the Sapphire, Sonic and Nights go in search of Seelkadoom and Reala. Meanwhile Shadow is getting pwned by Seekladoom in Reala’s castle. There the movie ends.
Wallace and Grommit Top Bun is a fun “do theses tasks as fast as possible” game featuring two lovable movie characters starting a bread baking business. The graphics and presentation are superb in this game and is well above the norm for this genre. The same is pretty simple. You drag the bread in the oven, bake it, and then put it in the van. The more you bake, the more points you get.
There are some recipes that require additional ingredients that you have to add which make it harder but overall, its a pretty basic “do this task to get points” type game. The voice overs are good and overall this game is a pretty good one to burn some time with. Give it a try, you won’t regret it. You should also watch some of their movies if you haven’t already.
Sonic RPG 1 Part 2 picks up right where part 1 left off with sonic chasing Eggman in his super form. He catches up with Eggman and has to fight his digger robot. For this, just use the SP power and go super form. You are invulnerable in super form against the robot so just keep attacking it until it dies. When it does, Eggman’s ultimate creation, Seelkadoom comes out and starts talking to Sonic, just as Shadow comes around.
Unfortunately for Eggman, Seelkadoom is uncontrollable so Eggman has to suck Sonic, Shadow, Knuckles, and Seekladoom to another dimension while he prepares to conquer the world. The adventures in the next dimension await in the next episode, stay tuned!
Zombie Tower Defense 4 is a fun tower defense game that is the best so far of the zombie tower defense series. However, despite this, there are still some balancing issues that make this game pretty easy to beat. For the next game of this series, I’d like to see better graphics and better balancing. So this game has one tower, the laser tower, that is simply way overpowered. To beat this game, all you really have to do is to last until you can get a laser tower. This is not a hard task. This strategy will work for every difficulty setting except the hardest one. Even on the hardest one though, the laser towers are the key to everything.
Basically you build 2 or 3 pistol towers on the straight vertical section of the map, and upgrade them evenly. Keep track of the selling values of the pistol towers and when you have enough money by selling the towers, sell them and buy a laser tower. Just keep upgrading that laser tower as money comes in and build a freezing tower so your laser tower can hit zombies more easily. This strategy should carry through pretty much the entire game. Build 5-6 of these laser towers and fully upgrade them and then start saving for missile towers. At this point, the game is basically won so you don’t have to worry.
On the highest level of difficulty, you have to do some fancy selling/rebuying to not leak and win. It seems like the hardest difficulty is endless but once you get settled down with 5 laser towers and 1 or 2 freeze towers, you can just save for missile towers and kill everything. Timing is key on the hardest difficulty.
Sonic RPG 1 is the beginning of another adventure for Sonic, Shadow, and friends. This one is pretty straightforward and you don’t have that much chance to die in the first episode. But its pretty well narrated and if you don’t mind the bad grammar, its a decent start to a good series. In the first fight, you have to fight Eggman’s monster. You get pwned this battle but Shadow comes to rescue you and the real adventure begins. When you get control of Shadow, just use the special chaos control move to kill the water monster. Eggman takes the chaos emerald and leaves in the death egg. Sonic follows the death Egg while shadow goes to Knuckles’s island to get the master emerald and has a battle with knuckles which Shadow loses. Knuckles then joins the team and lets Shadow take the Chaos Emerald with them. Eggman begins to combine Sonic’s and Shadow’s DNA to form his ultimate weapon. Sonic interrupts Eggman and they square off for a fight. The story is continued in the 2nd episode.
Munio Tower Defense is a hard tower defense game that features 6 types of turrets and many strategies to win. This game was harder for me than the average tower defense game because it requires a combination of AOE turrets, hard-hitters, basic turrets, and slow turrets, as well as a boost turret to win the game. I’ve written a walkthrough below if your having trouble. It took me several tries to beat this and I beat it with 7 lives left.
The turret setup above is about what I had near the end of the game. I first started off with 5 basic turrets encased by a command turret for damage boost. I upgraded heavily on the rightmost two, until wave seven, when I switch the upgraded turrets to focus on sea. After that wave, I switched the middle turret to air and the left two to land and finished upgrading the 5 turrets and the command center all the way.
After that I started to build my row of laser turrets in the center. I built four and after upgrading them evenly for a while, built the EMP towers to slow enemies down so my laser turrets can hit them more. After upgrading laser turrets to the 3rd or 4th level. I started to switch their ability every level to whatever affinity the creeps had to get the 50% boost. Yes, this is costly, but you will die if you don’t do this. I finished upgrading the 4 laser turrets all the way to max then built the 2 inferno turrets and upgraded them, all while switching their affinity as well to match the creep wave. This will carry you to around wave 50, the super mothership(which is the last boss creep). For this creep, switch all affinity to air and wait for it to pass twice your group of regular turrets. After it does, sell them(because they are of no more use), and build as many laser turrets in the middle as you can(upgrade of course) and switch affinity to air. You should have no problem killing the last boss this way.
Mad World Differences is a great spot-the-difference game. Its one of the few I enjoyed as it did not penalize you heavily for clicking the wrong areas or did it have a time limit. It let me bide my time and find everything and was one of the few I completed. I’ve posted pictures of the walkthrough below. Click on the “Click here, I am a walkthrough” link to see.
The differences are boxed and my pointer is usually pointing over the last one. On level 8, the last differences is a side wall pattern(my mouse is not hovering over it).
Hands of War is a cool rpg where you choose one of three classes and go on numerous quests and at the end defeat the final big bad boss. This game has a lot(and I mean a lot) of variety with over 90 enemies and over 100 quests you can go on. The possibilities and adventures you meet throughout this game are extremely varied. That being said, it is a good afternoon gaming session and possibly more, depending on how much you want to study the world. If your having trouble on the last boss, check out the video below.
Eternal Red is a fun cool game where you have to shot and kill enemies and buy upgrades to hold them off. Its a pretty fast-paced game and action packed so if your looking for an adrenaline rush, give it a shot. I posted two youtube videos of Map 2 below, check them out if you have trouble(although they are really fast).
