Puzzle Defense is a new twist to a tower defense game in that you must match the runes on one side of the screen in order to build towers to defend your base on the other side of the screen. In this game you must be fast at matching runes or your history. Although the tower defense part wasn’t anything great, the rune matching that went along with it made it worth the while. Some runes were just better than others. I found that the runes to concentrate on were red and green.

Mostly because they were the ones I used to most to build obelisk and lightening towers which is mostly what I depended on. Do not overlook the angel runes though as the gift of Isis may pull you through in the clutch.
Sun towers are good too for heavy damage but you must build plenty of air towers to compensate because sun towers are ground only. Do not forget to buy items from the shop as they are crucial to your success in the game. You must use some of the spells to weaken enemies to kill them if you hope to go past wave 20. I’d say the best combination of towers is either sun/anti-air or lightening/sun/anti-air. You also have to build some frost to slow enemies down and build Obelisks for early damage. Be sure to visit the shop and buy powerful spells like the Pharaoh’s plague to deal with enemies. Overall, this game is pretty hard but enjoyable.
