Gemcraft 0 is the prequel to gemcraft. This chapter reveals the backstory on how the evil being known as “the forgotten” was freed. Although the ending is dire, the game is addicting as ever! You start out by summoning gems and gaining XP by beating levels. You use those XP points to buy skills and upgrade your gems’ attacks and effects. There are so many upgrades in all that its hard to choose from. After you get to a certain level, you can go back and replay levels in different modes to gain even more XP.

You will need to do this in order to get enough XP upgrades to beat certain levels. There are 5 arcane guardian levels before the last level. You’ll need to be at least level 60 to beat the last level.
