Renegade Commanders is a command and conquer-like game where you must build buildings, train troops, and defend your base against enemy forces. To complete a mission, you must either gain enough territory or hold off against so many enemy waves. The first level is an introductory level to get you to learn the basics, the real game begins on the second level. I chose to play the GDA side(note the similarity to the GDI in the C&C series) and fight against the rebels, but both sides play the same way. |
You need to note the strengths and weaknesses of each unit against each other unit. For example, the air units are good against everything except bazooka-men. For the first real mission when you are on defense, your first priority should be to build the 3rd power plant and a vehicle plant and start pumping out tanks and troops. Also, don’t forget to build the fifth turrets. While the troops and tanks in the 2nd level aren’t a real threat, the long-range cannons are. You’ll find your structures suddenly exploding if your not paying close attention. Always scroll the map with the arrow keys to keep a lookout for long-range artillery and keep a good combination of air troops, normal troops, and bazooka troops in your army. You’ll need to defend all sides but most of the artillery comes at the bottom. Do not let your barracks get destroyed or it probably will cost you the game. Keep troops on patrol at all times and kill off the long-range weapons so they have to come into the range of your turrets. Doing this will let you defensive structure kill most of their units and if a good way to victory. Good luck!

Storm the house 3 is a fun defense game where you take an active part in shooting the defenders. There are a limited number of slots in the front of the house for you to build defensive structures on so you must choose carefully. You can also buy weapons and men to fight for you to defend your house. There are many modes in this game and different strategies for each. |

Tree Tower Defense is a unique tower defense where creeps come down tiers of the tree you are trying to protect. There are different slots on the tree where you can build and combo towers to stop them. This was very different from a traditional tower defense as you had to slide up and down the tree to find more slots. I personally didn’t like it as much as most tower defense games because I didn’t enjoy sliding up and down the tree but some people loved it. I’ve posted a video below if you need help with the game. Snafu Tower Defense is a basic “build your own” path tower defense game with a military theme. There are a couple of tower choices with 5 levels of upgrade each. In comparison with other tower defense games, its pretty basic — which is probably why most casual players will like it. The basic strategy is also very simple which mainly consists of building artillery towers, SAM towers, and mortar towers, at least through the first few levels. |
I’m written a walk-through below that gets you through the first three maps. Since upgrades are linear in this game, I don’t see why this strategy wouldn’t work in the later levels either. Click the “Click me, I am a walkthrough” link to see.

Level 1: This level is pretty easy if you just build your maze right. I did it with upgrading the machine gun through most of the level, but I would advise you instead of building and upgrading machine guns, to build 2 artillery, 1 mortar, and 2 SAM to beat the level with. Upgrade everything evenly and use the same layout I’m using and you will win.

Level 2: You have to build the maze right in this level and make the longest path possible. Ditch the machine gun turret you see in the picture and build another artillery in its place. Also stick another SAM tower somewhere in there and you should be fine. Upgrade evenly.

Level 3: Use the road blocks carefully in this level. Note that at the top I built one barrel/roadblock thingy every other square to make for maximum travel distance. Build a 2nd SAM in the middle. I also ended up building an EMP and a microwave gun, but its better if you just build one more mortar and artillery instead. Upgrade evenly as always.

Mini Defense is a basic no-frills tower defense games that uses shapes as its towers and creeps. At first the look of the game turns you off, but after playing for a while, you’ll see it has superior game-play than most other tower defense games. My main knock on it is that it is too short with little to no replay value. Figure out the game if you can but I’ve written a basic strategy below to beat this game with, click on the “click me, I am a walkthrough” link to see it. |

Ok, first of all, the image above was my final tower placement I beat the game with and that creep being shown is indeed the last wave. Unlike the other TD walkthroughs I’ve done, I am not going to post a bunch of pictures for this one because its pretty simple and straight forward. To start the game build a heavy hitter(the green tower) and a sniper tower(yellow tower near the purple one) in the places shown above. Then store your money and save to build an ice tower(blue) near the green tower. Before the first boss, upgrade the sniper tower as much as possible as getting some of the first level upgrades for the heavy hitter. You will need good upgrades on the sniper tower to be able to kill the first boss wave. After the first boss wave, upgrade the sniper tower some more and the ice tower. You may also want to upgrade the damage on the green tower to level 2 or 3, but not too much. Also upgrade the range and speed of the ice tower, but mainly focus on the sniper tower. This will get you past the second boss. Use the money from the 2nd boss to build a tesla tower and upgrade the range, and power, and cooldown as much as possible for the next few waves. There is one wave that you will not be able to even come close in killing. Most of them will get away, but its ok, you will gain a bit of money and still have about 70 health left afterwards. After that, build one more sniper tower and upgrade range, power, and speed, to the first level and two more ice towers to upgrade the range. Focus most all your money on the first sniper tower and the tesla tower and you should easily be able to beat the game that way. Good luck!

War Zone Tower defense is a fun create your own tower defense maze game with many choices of towers, maps, and defensive structures. You must defend against both land and air units so building both ground lasers and air defense is vital. I found that concentrating fire and making use of the towers’ best abilities was the best way to win. |
For instance, the laser cannon fires in a line so its probably best to build your maze so that is has long straight ways so the laser cannon to have its best effect. I’ve played the default map through the first 100 waves so if you having trouble getting started. You can use it as a guide. Click on the “Click me, I am a walkthrough link to view”.

Starting out: Make sure the enemy only has one exit, put machine gun towers along the exit path. They receive maximum damage as they pass through the exit.

Boss 2: I forgot to take a picture at the first boss, but I need to mention that you should extend your wall-maze out a bit and upgrade the machine gun towers in order to kill the first boss. For the second boss, I had a flame thrower tower, a plasma turret, and some upgraded machine gun towers, it didn’t stand a chance. Also a missile pod for air targets.

Boss 4: By this time, I had a ground laser cannon, an air laser cannon, and an upgraded air missile pod. I also upgraded my ground plasma quite a bit.

Wave 65: Its pretty much the same setup except I upgraded more and sold a machine gun turret to replace it with a plasma turret.

Wave 80: I bought a heavy cannon for AOE damage at this point and upgraded my other stuff. Notice that I also wrapped my maze around. This ensures maximum damage at minimum cost. Looking back at the later waves, I should have bought more heavy cannons because the pathway got really congested after a while.

Wave 100: Well, this game actually goes on forever, so I stopped building around wave 95 or so and creeps got through, but I bet I could go at least for 10-20 more waves if I kept building. Or just keep wrapping my maze around. It works pretty well.

Good luck!

Random Defense 2 is a strange tower defense game where you have to manage different types of resources, get money by killing creeps, and then build and upgrade different types of towers while keeping an eye on your power level to make sure it doesn’t fall into the negatives. That is quite a mouthful and this tower defense game is a lot more complex than your run of the mill TD. It took me a few tries on normal(I played on the first duck pond map) before I got a good setup that allowed me to win(or at least reach wave 90 when I got bored and quit). |
I’ve posted by build up to wave 90 below. Click on the “Click me, I am a walk-through to see it”.

Remember that effects stack in this game, so its better to concentrate your fire then to spread it out along the path.
Lvl 10: Basic two grenade towers, 2 zap towers, and a slow tower. Upgrade the grenades and the electric towers as needed to take down to waves.

Lvl 30: Now I have a gatling tower, a shock tower, and a big-ass double missile launcher.

Lvl 40: Not much has changed except I upgraded as needed

Lvl 50: Yeah, still the same setup, upgrading these towers will go a long way.

Lvl 60:

Added big gun tower and capacitor tower
Lvl 80: Upgraded the three prime towers and added a big multi-laser tower(which was a disappointment by the ways)

Lvl 90: So I finally got a big doom tower of death and was disappointed in it. May have been better off just upgrading the smaller towers. Resistances should not be stacked. It makes multi-towers not all that useful.

At this point, not much was getting past, I had a lot of cash and it was pretty obvious I had won the game. But I also got bored after 90 waves so I quit.

Talesworth Arena is a fun tactical game where you can choose to be a Psionic mage, a Juggernaut, or an engineer and fight your way up the ladder to become the ultimate warrior using your skills. The engineer is good at making stuff, the juggernaut is mainly strength, and the psionic mage is someone who mainly depends on controlling other people’s thoughts and using that against them. |
There are two modes, easy and normal. Easy wasn’t much fun for me because battles devolved in click-fests so I played normal most of the time where there is paced and strategic combat.
In normal, you only start with 10 gold and you should go immediately to the training ground to buy whatever you can(this usually means the training sword for the juggernaut and maybe the poison thing). After you have bought these things, head over the the arena to start fighting. Usually at first, you only fight grunts and low-level creatures first. Be careful, even these fights are not a cakewalk. In normal, there is timing to the combat and interrupts are very effective both on you and the opponent. I usually just hit with the poison syringe and then the sword until the effects of the poison wore off, then hit with the poison again. Be careful and don’t let the enemy interrupt your move or it will cost you a lot of damage and your attack. With the money you get from winning, you can upgrade your equipment at the training grounds and take on better foes. After defeating 2 opponents, go buy the gentle uppercut. At this time, you’ll also be starting out on quests. Take the quests, they are good ways to pick up extra cash and XP. The first quests are pretty easy. You’ll have to learn the pace of combat as you move up the ladder and how to use items in combination and the timing required. But overall, this game is a lot of fun so its worth the time to figure it out.
Good luck!

Unholy Island is a strategy game where you play the role of an dead skeleton pirate who has been cursed by the Kraken to be stuck on an island. Unfortunately other “live” pirates have found the island and now you must use the weapons at your disposal and spawn minions to protect it. Its a very well built game but has a few minor issues such as the barrels being hard to grab at times. But despite a few minor glitches, it is still a good strategy game that deserves some play time. |
You can use either the arrows or the mouse and arrows to move and rotate. I found moving with the mouse and arrow a lot easier, especially after you’ve grabbed something. Its just easier to click and hold rather than rotating and then moving with the arrows. This game has both an action and strategy mode which play differently. I always played the strategy mode which depends more on the placing of the cannons and minions to kill ships rather than the manual hacking and slashing of your sword. In this mode, the main thing are your cannons(and sometimes command minions which you can buy in the shop) I always placed many of them (surrounded by barrels of course) on the right side to blow apart the ship right when they come. I usually sold everything else except barrels and cannons to buy more cannons and spawn more minions. The last cannon I always kept for myself. I liked concentrating firepower because you can knock out the ships before they get too much of a chance to fire back. As you get more cannons and minions, command minions become necessary and you will eventually have to do some hacking and slashing as well. Playing on normal takes a bit of skill so if your looking for some casual play, I’d suggest easy. Go through the tutorial as it will help you understand the basic mechanics of the game. Otherwise, good luck! Feel free to post what you did here.
