So Protector 4.5 was just released lately and it feels the exact same as Protector 4. Now don’t get me wrong, I love the series and I’ve played every game 1-4 through. But I don’t think I’ll play 4.5 that much. Protectors 1,2,3, and 4 all differed from the previous one enough to make playing them exciting. Protector 4 feels like and actually is pretty much a carbon copy of protector 4. It almost feels like the author added a .5 onto the title and re-released the game. Now, I know that there are some new heroes in the game, but that does not really change the game any. New heroes just a different mix of the same basic units. The maps seem to be pretty much the same, the storyline hasn’t changed any, and overall it look just like the exact same game. I think the author would have done better just not to release this stop-gap game and just followed up with protector V some time later.

Space Invasion Tower Defense is a fun game where you have 2 modes of play. In the first mode, you must kill all the enemies before they reach the bottom of the screen. In the second mode, you must defend the central gem from the alien ships. At your disposal are 12 types of upgradeable turrets with different powers. With three modes of difficulty and great graphics, this is worth a while of your time. I suggest your start with easy or normal before moving on to the unlimited category and competing for high scores. |
On normal, you should build 2 rows of towers. You should go with either the basic or the splash towers. I prefer the splash myself but many people prefer basic. Upgrade them all the way before building anything else. However, do not upgrade as soon as you have the money. Upgrade only when creeps seem to be getting through. There is a small amount of interest at the end of each level.
After you’ve upgraded your 2 rows all the way. Build either an explosion tower or save for an ultimate tower. If you go with the ultimate, position it right as it will only be able to cover half of the screen. I suggest you go with the explosion towers, upgrade them for a level or two before saving for the ultimate towers. This should carry you through medium most of the way, if not all the way. You may want to build some rust and slow as well.
On unlimited, in the later waves, you will want some rust towers towards the beginning and some instant death towards the end. The shock towers are also pretty useful for stopping enemies in their tracks. Happy defending!
