mushroom farm defense Mushroom Farm defense is a fun little tower defense game where you build mushroom towers to defend against invading farm creeps. This game also has element gems which give your mushroom tower powers and are key to winning the game. Below is a strategy guide for medium difficulty, but because of the game-play mechanics, it would probably work on hard as well with a few changes.

The game has 3 elements and 4 kinds of towers. The towers are pretty self explanatory as each successive tower is more powerful than the one before it. The elements are thunder, water, and fire and on the 2nd and 3rd level towers, you can combine elements to save special effects like freeze or poison. One combination will be key to this strategy to beating the game. The map for this game is big. I’m writing with walkthrough for map A. On map A, there is a section of the map where the grass separating the paths is very narrow, one tower can hit both sides of the grass. At the beginning of the game, you’ll want to build tower basic towers there. These towers should last you through 2-3 waves. As soon as you get another $100, build another basic tower on the same stretch of grass. Then you should be able to hold out until you can upgrade one of your basic towers(upgrading the one in the middle is usually the best idea). Then try to save up for the next higher mushroom tower(the dark green one). If you see creeps getting past, upgrade another one of your basic towers. You will probably have to sell a basic tower to get enough money to buy a dark green tower. You can buy a few element crystals at this point, but I didn’t need to equip crystals until I bought the 3rd orange Mushroom tower. Buy two of the dark green towers and upgrade one to max(as you get money), then after that upgrade two others to level 2. After that, wait for $1,600 to buy an orange tower. This is the best tower you will need, there is no need to buy any $4000 towers as you can’t equip crystal combinations with those towers. Buy one of each element crystal and equip the orange tower with one of each. This will give the “instant death” effect which kills everything. Then wait to get enough money to upgrade that orange tower to level 3, selling a tower when necessary. At level 3, the instant death percentage will be at 6%. The damage from the tower should be enough to hold you off for a while until you can buy another orange tower and equip it with the same combination of crystals. Upgrade this tower to level 3 also. After this, you just keep buying level 3 towers, upgrading them, and equipping them for the instant death effect. The damage they do will be enough to hold off all creeps until you have 4 or 5 of them, after which, the instant death effects just kills anything that comes along. The screen-shot you see if one of me late in the game. I bought a $4000 tower for fun, but it wasn’t really necessary. I also started digging up some trees after my third instant-death tower because they were in good tower placement spots. At the end I had 8 or so Level-3 instant death towers and nothing ever got close to getting past that line. This strategy should work on hard but you’ll have to time upgrades and buying more carefully.

bloons td 3 After almost a year of waiting for many fans, the long awaited sequel to Bloon Tower Defense 2, Bloons Tower Defense 3 is here. This game is sure to be a runaway success as it is better than the games that came before it and because everyone in the flash gaming world is obssessed with Ninja Kiwi(Bloons tower Defense 2 got 32 million plays). Graphically, this game is much the same as its 2 predecessors, which is fine because the cartoony look and feel of the balloons series appeals to many and gives it a family friendly feeling.

Game-play-wise it is also very similar. There is one extra tower, the spike-mace tower, that Bloons TD 2 didn’t have, and few other options like the exploding fruit, that was also not there in Bloons TD 2. However, the game-play is more in-depth as there are 2x the number of upgrades for each tower there were in Bloons TD 2. In Bloons TD 2, there were only 2 upgrades for each tower, in this game, there are 4 that are in a 2-tier upgrade system. The problem with this is that the upgrades cost a lot and unlike the previous bloons games, it does not tell you how much upgrades cost until you have enough money to buy them(this might be a glitch that Ninja Kiwi needs to fix). But otherwise, the 2 levels of upgrades bring a lot more strategy into the mix, especially on the harder levels of difficulty as the difference between choosing 2 towers over one upgraded tower actually matters. There is also a new “boost” tower which increases the range and firing range of all nearby towers and also has the ability to call in a “super monkey storm” when upgraded. This tower makes the strategy of putting all your towers in the center a much better idea. The monkey storms are expensive at 850 a piece but is a “this will save me now” type thing that you will need to use at times on harder difficulties. Bloons tower defense 3 has a decent enough learning curve(if you start on easy) and is challenging enough on hard to keep the most hardcore TD fans happy.

On a technical note, the game seems to lag less than Bloons TD 2, which is a plus, but the game stopped once for me after level 46 without saying I won or any more balloons coming, which was weird.

If your a TD junkie or even a casual strategy/defense fan, you’ll really enjoy this game. Now onto the easy walkthrough.

This walkthrough is for the “ice map” on easy difficulty to help beginners get started with the game. The first thing I have to say is that the picture I posted with this article is me playing on easy on this map right before I beat the game so you can look at it for hints. You’ll see that I had 3 regular monkeys, 2 fully upgraded snow-towers, 2 fully upgraded missile towers, 1 fully upgraded spike-ball tower, one fully upgraded beacon, and one super monkey upgraded with everything except epic range.

To start out the game, buy 3 regular monkeys and place them at turn points on the map to give them a good shooting radius. This will ensure that they give the maximum number of hits possible on balloons. This should carry you through the first 4 or 5 levels pretty easily. Use road tacks to clean up anything that gets passed. Next buy a bomb tower and work on upgrading to bigger bombs and the missile upgrades. Don’t get the shards upgrade for now as it isn’t very useful. After you’ve fully upgraded the bomb tower, buy a freeze tower and upgrade it all the way. This is very important in slowing balloons down. Afterwards, buy a spike-ball tower and upgrade it to full. The triple shot and the long roll upgrade are extremely good at killing balloons. After that buy 1 more freeze tower and fully upgrade it. Then buy one more bomb tower and fully upgrade it. At this point, buy a beacon tower and set it in the middle of everything. Upgrade it with the range and speed upgrades but do not get the super-monkey storm upgrade yet, that is not critical. At this point, use what you have plus road tacks and pineapple bombs until you saved up enough to get a super-monkey. Put the super monkey in the middle of the screen and get the first range upgrade for him(don’t get epic range because its not worth it). Then save and get the laser vision and plasma vision. After you get these upgrades, you should be pretty set for the game on easy. If you save enough, build and upgrade another super-monkey to make sure nothing gets through. I general all the upgrades for super-monkeys are good except the epic range upgrade because the first range upgrade already nearly covers the entire map if you place the monkey in the center. Eventually, you might want to get the super-monkey storm for the beacon tower just to see what a super-monkey storm is.

So to recap, the build order:
3 normal monkey towers
1 bomb tower
1 ice tower
1 mace-ball tower
1 ice tower
1 bomb tower
1 beacon tower
1 super-monkey tower
1 more super-monkey tower

Remember to use tacks and pineapple bombs frequently as they are cheap and will save you so much of the time. Happy defense!

Ultimate defense 2 Tower Defense games are one of the most popular types of online flash games today. Headlining this genre are tower defense games with titles like Desktop Tower Defense taking the spotlight. However, most of this genre is filled with bad to mediocre games that have limited play value. That is not so with Ultimate Defense 2, which with a polished interface, well-done graphics, and several different play mechanisms easily stands out from the rest of the field. Graphically, this game alooks alot like Protector and indeed it has a lot of the same game-play mechanisms like unit level upgrades based on XP and spells.

This game may take some getting used to but its well worth the learning curve. One thing that new players should be aware of is unlike traditional tower defense games were the towers fire at anything within a certain AOE of them, towers in this game only fire in one direction so be sure to make your defenders face in the direction where they will be able to fire the most shots. You can rotate your defenders once and plan on doing this or you will not be able to beat the level. Most of the units can only shoot two squares when they are purchased so be vary that you may need two defenders to reach across an entire lane which is usually 3 squares wide. Since you are allowed to rotate your defenders once on each level, be sure to put strong defenders at the turn positions and make them face the weaker side first so when the enemies get past the weak side, you can rotate them to the strong side where they will be permanently. This takes a bit of skill and micromanaging to master, especially if you are managing several rotations at once. For an easier walkthrough look to the end of this article for a more in-depth walkthrough.

Also, unlike traditional Tower Defense games, you do not purchase upgrades for your defenders, rather they gain XP according to the number of enemies you kill. You can use this to your advantage as it is possible to place towers so that one tower gets most of the kills thus giving you once super-strong tower, which is very helpful in single-handedly killing enemies. You can also unlock new defenders by completing levels and gain extra goodies by digging for treasure.

Spells and items are also an important part of this game. Watch your mana because you’ll need to have some in critical moments to prevent creeps from getting away. Early on the poison spell is great to pick creeps off but be sure to cast it early on in the level as it is a damage by time spell and takes a while to kill an enemy. If your looking for an easy direct-kill spell, go for lightening instead. The lightening spell is unlocked shortly after the game begins.

This game is a breathe of fresh air in the genre of tower defense. It is the first TD where micro-management is an important part of the games and is required for success. This alone makes the game a little more involved than traditional TD’s as you can’t just sit there and watch after building your defenders. You always have to be active rotating your defenders and using your spells to slow the enemy down.

The one complaint I do have about this game is that it is a bit too hard in the beginning and the learning curve is steep as it doesn’t quite play like a traditional Tower Defense game. But besides this small complaint, Ultimate Defense 2 is a solid all-around game.

Okay, still can’t beat it? I’ll take you through the game. Its actually quite easy to beat. You are basically going to use 4 defender types to beat the game. Archers, Mages, Ninjas, and Dragons. You never have to build knights and warriors(and they suck with only 1 in attack range). In the first two levels, build mainly archers and build lots of them. Building as many archers as you can while throwing one or two mages in there will do the trick. Be sure to use the pivot spots so you can use rotation. Digging for treasure is key, dig up all the squares that are not bordering the path as you won’t need to use them. You will get treasures for spinning the slots and more important in the early going, you will get mana potions to cast spells. A few creeps may get past your archers but with the spells of poision and lightening you should be fine(actually I never had to use more than these two spells the entire game). Starting at level 3, you will need ninjas. Ninjas have a range of 3 so one can cover the entire lane, place them at the pivot point(s) so you can rotate them. Usually one Ninja accompanied by a few archers in the right positions and the use of a few spells will be able to get you through level 3. On level 4, you will probably need two ninjas, some mages, and archers. Try to dig as much as you can for Mana potions as this will allow you to save money you will need to get through the levels until you can get dragons. Do not build warriors/knights as you don’t need them, Ninjas are better. I found that usually 3 strategic placement of ninjas accompanied by 2-3 mages and several archers were all I needed to get me through to the point where I unlocked the dragon. Try to save as much money as possible. You should be having a little bit more money at the end of each level. Don’t build extra defenders if you don’t need them. By the time you unlock dragons, you should have about 2500 or so to start the level with. Dragons take up four squares so after you get them, scout out the map for places that you can place them on. For the first level or two after you get dragons, build 1 dragon immediately, 1 ninja, and 1 mage(you should have enough start money to do this by this point in the game). That should kill everything perhaps until the last wave(but with spells it should be able to kill the last wave as well). After a level or two, you will have more than enough start money to buy 2 dragons. Basically at this point you’ve won the game as 2 dragons and one ninja is enough to handle all enemy creeps until the end. Never stop digging! I dugg every square I didn’t need to place on and ended up with 10+ mana potions at the end.

So lets recap — Until you can get dragons, build mainly Ninjas and archers and save as much money as possible while digging for treasure and mana potions.

After dragons, build only dragons and Ninjas and keep digging. Save as much as you can. If you can start every level with more than $3800(which is easily doable), the game is pretty much beat.

Overall, this is one of the easier TD games I’ve played. Took me about an hour to figure out how to beat it.
